Poster

The new MAS poster showcases the ancient heritage of Manitoba through a brief tour of over 40 selected sites. This poster highlights the diverse history of this province through archaeological materials and sites across the natural regions of Manitoba. Featured sites include early settlements of the Thule in the arctic, eskers as the highway of the ancient peoples in the subarctic, tipi rings prominent in the plains, and central depots for the activities of the Fur Trade. The poster also features a range of archaeological artifacts demonstrating the technological ingenuity and skill of the past inhabitants of Manitoba.
