2011 MAS Photo Contest

We're looking for the best archaeology photos from the last 50 years or earlier if you got'em!

The MAS is hosting it's fourth annual photo contest, but in honour of our 50th anniversary, we're doing it a bit different this year. Photographs from ANY year will be accepted - so dig out those old pictures and send them in. As always, this contest is open to anyone with a connection to Manitoba archaeology and photos should have some connection to archaeology but don't necessarily have to be taken in the province. This year, there will be three categories to judge; artifact, people, and landscape. As in previous years, photos will be voted on by the participants of the annual fall conference and AGM, held October 20-23rd at the Hotel Fort Garry in Winnipeg.

To submit a photo for the contest, simply upload to the event page on facebook , email to the office (mbarch@mts.net) OR bring a 4X6 print to the conference. The previous winners have all been fantastic pictures and we can't wait to see what turns up this year.
